Back in the Apollo 11 days, the spaceship computer (AGC) had much less memory than even a basic calculator! It could only hold 2048 pieces of information, each made of 16 tiny switches (bits). That's just 32,768 bits in total, not enough to store this whole message!
Compare that to today's computers: They have a lot more memory, like 4GB, which is a huge number (over a million times more than the AGC). Plus, today's processors work super fast, over 100,000 times faster than the AGC! So, today's computers can do a lot more, even though the AGC did an amazing job getting us to the moon!
